With Footy finals upon us – the rapid transition to cricket is now also approaching!
This season we will be hosting three pre-season sessions for our juniors sliding from blasters to team cricket, and for our stage 1 teams into stage 2.
The aim of these will be to pick back up on the basics, give you some basic drills to take away leading into the season and focus specifically on our fielding skills, batting skills and bowling skills.
For those players moving into stage 2 cricket, Fast 9s or Girls Stage 2, we will also be introducing the hard ball they will play with.
All sessions will be short and sharp, an hour long, and indoors at Box Hill Indoor Sports centre, where our junior families have played their winter indoor cricket.
These sessions are open to anyone you might like to invite down to meet other kids and give to the skills a go. We need and encourage everyone to mention cricket to a friend or family member, to find others who can join our cricket family, have fun and enjoy the game and cricket club.
Dates are as below:
Monday 11th September: 5:15pm-6:15pm
Tuesday 19th September: 5:30pm-6:30pm
Tuesday 26th September: 5:30pm-6:30pm
We have two courts so plenty of space to spread out and get into it :)
We will also look at some optional extra sessions outdoors – linked with the senior club leading in to the season.
