WHAT PROGRAMS CAN I REGISTER FOR?
Box Hill Cricket Club and East Box Hill Cricket Club have programs and teams that cater for all ages, genders and levels of ability.
Cricket Blast: Game based activities that help kids learn cricket skills. Everyone welcome, all skill levels and abilities aged up to 10 years old. Sessions will be run from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday evenings. There will be 12 sessions starting late October/early November with a break over the summer holidays.
Super 7s: Modified matches for kids ready for their first taste of competition aimed at ages 7-9. Seven players per side using soft balls, a shortened pitch and maximum 40m boundary. Everyone gets to bat, bowl & field with unlimited dismissals. These matches will be played on Sunday mornings at Howard Wilson Oval from 9am to 11am.
Fast 9s: A format that looks to further develop skills in 2nd/3rd year of cricket for kids aged 9-11. Nine players per side using 142g hard balls, everyone gets a bat/bowl/field and dismissals are limited to 8 per side. These matches will be played on Sunday mornings at Howard Wilson oval from 9am to 11:30am.
Girls Cricket: Stage 1, 2 follow the Super 7s and Fast 9s formats and are played on Wednesday evening at Howard Wilson Oval from 5pm to 7pm. Stage 3 girls will be entered into the U14 mixed competition on Friday nights and will play at Howard Wilson Oval from 5pm to 8pm
Juniors Cricket: Junior competition played without modified rules. U12/U14/U16/U18 will play Friday twilight at Howard Wilson Oval or Bennettswood Reserve from 5pm to 8pm and Saturday morning from 8:30am to 11:30am. U13/U15 will play on Sunday likely with a mix of Turf/Synthetic wickets. North East Link Tunnel Works are still impacting ground availability. As such, depending on the number of registered players and teams, it may mean access to turf cricket, at least for home games, will not be as regular as previous seasons. Some games may need to be played on synthetic wickets.

OFF-FIELD DEVELOPMENT: BUIDLING STRONGER PLAYERS AND FAMILIES:
At East Box Hill and Box Hill Cricket Clubs, we believe cricket is more than just a game - it’s an opportunity to grow confident, resilient young people and connected communities.
This season, we are proud to introduce a series of off-field wellbeing initiatives for players and families:
SALT (Sport and Life Training) sessions that support emotional wellbeing, leadership and team culture
Positive Sports Parenting workshops to help parents support their child’s growth in and out of sport
Club Wellbeing Teams trained to support players across all ages
