Woolworths Cricket Blast

Buzzing with the energy of big bash cricket, Woolworths Cricket Blast teaches kids how to bat, bowl, field and catch over eight weeks of fun games and activities —all while making new friends.

Come and join the fun at East Box Hill Cricket Club with Woolworths Cricket Blast sessions delivered at Howard Wilson Oval (Whitehorse Reserve) at regular dates throughout the cricket season!

  • Everyone welcome – Kids aged up to 10 years old

  • Over in a flash – 60-90 minutes of fun each session in a safe and inclusive environment

  • Make pals, catch skills, throw like a boss, and teamwork like a pro!

  • Kids will be able to rock the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes with their own Cricket Blast pack

  • All the gear, no fear!

Woolworths Cricket Blast

Cricket Blast is for kids learning the basic skills of cricket with participants building their skills through fun, game based activities. The activities are designed for small groups to ensure every child gets a go, allowing them to test and learn new skills. After they have mastered the basics, they will be ready for modified games of cricket.

The Blasters program is set up in a way that regardless of skill level, participants can progress through the different levels of activity until they have the basic cricket skills required to progress to Junior Cricket. 

Skills that children will learn and improve in Cricket Blast include:

  • Social skills

  • Cricket skills

  • Game sense

  • Fundamental movement skills

 

These skills can be recorded and tracked on each participant's Junior Blasters Skill Scorecard which is received in every participant pack.
