Child Safety

At East Box Hill Cricket Club, we are firmly committed to safeguarding children and young people in order to provide a safe environment free from any abuse, bullying, harassment or other inappropriate conduct. We will ensure that children and young people affiliated with East Box Hill Cricket Club, participate in and in other settings associated with our Club, knowing they feel safe, can be safe, have fun, are happy and included in the game of cricket.

The Child Safety Officers will champion the child safety message and ensure that East Box Hill Cricket Club has adopted Australian Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People and that East Box Hill implements practices and procedures in line with Australian Cricket’s Looking After Our Kids Code of Behaviour for Affiliated Associations and Clubs.

Further detail can be found on Cricket Victoria's website:

We have one male and two female Child Safety Officers at the Club. These people are available to have a confidential discussion with any member who feels they may need some additional support and help. The Child Safety Officers will direct the member to the appropriate resources with the aim to make them feel safe and supported whilst at the Club.
